Shepherd's Pie Skillet Meal Seasoning

1 1/2 pounds potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup milk
1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken)
1 bag Shepherd's Pie Skillet Meal Seasoning
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup frozen peas
Add potatoes to a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15 minutes or until tender; drain. Return potatoes to saucepan and mash with butter and milk. Season mashed potatoes with salt and pepper, if desired.
Meanwhile, heat a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground beef and Shepherd’s Pie Skillet Meal Seasoning for 5-7 minutes, or until beef is cooked through.
Add tomato paste, water, and frozen peas and cook until heated through.
Spread mashed potatoes over the filling. Serve.
Optional: Bake prepared shepherd’s pie at 400F for about 15 minutes or until potatoes start to brown slightly.
